Advanced Cardiac Cathlab
A catheterization lab, commonly known as a cath lab, is an examination room in a hospital, clinic, or diagnostic centre where several types of tests and procedures like ablation, angiogram, angioplasty, implantation of pacemakers, etc. are performed.
However, a cath lab is not an operation theatre. Heart surgeries like heart bypass operation are carried out in an operation theatre under general anaesthesia. Whereas the patients in a cath lab might be awake and will not be under general anaesthesia while the procedures are carried out. A cath lab is usually managed by a group of different specialists who will be led by a cardiologist.
Coronary Angiography
A coronary angiogram is a procedure that uses X-ray imaging to see your heart's blood vessels. The test is generally done to see if there's a restriction in blood flow going to the heart.Coronary angiograms are part of a general group of procedures known as heart (cardiac) catheterizations.
Cornoary Angioplasty
A coronary angioplasty is a procedure used to widen blocked or narrowed coronary arteries (the main blood vessels supplying the heart). However, most modern angioplasty procedures also involve inserting a short wire-mesh tube, called a stent, into the artery during the procedure. The stent is left in place permanently to allow blood to flow more freely.
In most cases, the blood flow through the coronary arteries improves after an angioplasty.
If you've had a heart attack, an angioplasty can increase your chances of surviving more than clot-busting medication (thrombolysis). The procedure can also reduce your chances of having another heart attack in the future.
Pacemaker
A pacemaker is a small device that's placed (implanted) in the chest to help control the heartbeat.Implanting a pacemaker in the chest requires a surgical procedure.Pacemakers work only when needed. If your heartbeat is too slow (bradycardia), the pacemaker sends electrical signals to your heart to correct the beat.
ICD
An implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) is a small battery-powered device placed in the chest to detect and stop irregular heartbeats (arrhythmias). An ICD continuously monitors the heartbeat and delivers electric shocks, when needed, to restore a regular heart rhythm.
CRT-D
A CRT-D is a special device for heart failure patients who are also at high risk for sudden cardiac death. While functioning like a normal pacemaker to treat slow heart rhythms, a CRT-D device also delivers small electrical impulses to the left and right ventricles to help them contract at the same time. This will help your heart pump more efficiently .
Device Closure
The device closure procedure used as a reparative surgery is known as transcatheter closure, although it is done for a reparable hole and this is not the only treatment for hole closures. When compared to other surgeries, it is a less invasive surgery.
Peripheral Angioplasty
Peripheral artery angioplasty is a procedure to treat peripheral arterial disease of the legs. The procedure widens narrowed arteries in the pelvis or legs. It can help blood flow better. This may decrease leg pain or help wounds heal better.
EPS-RFA
EPS is an invasive intracardiac test or a minimally invasive procedure, just like Angiography.RFA is used to treat irregular heart beat or loss of heart rhythm (Arrhythmia) when medicines fail to work effectively or patient is not able to tolerate them.
Echocardiograohy,Holter, TMT, PFT
Electrocardiography (ECG) is the test that measures the electrical activity in the heart. Heart conducts its own electrical impulse for every beat. This muscular organ beats in rhythm to pump the blood to different parts of the body with this auto-generated electrical signal. Sino-atrial node is the electricity generator of the heart. Impulse initiated at the sino-atrial node, travels to the entire heart at specified intervals, distributing the impulses evenly. Recording of these impulses is known as Electrocardiogram or ECG.
Holter ECG is a device connected to the patient 24 hours to estimate the electrical activity of the heart throughout the day as he carries out his daily activities including sleeping at nights. These are highly useful for cardiologists to make accurate diagnoses.
Fully Equipped ICU & CCU Care
Intensive care, critical care, and cardiac care units are all dedicated units for patients who are in need of constant care.A CCU can also refer to a cardiac care unit, which is a specialized unit for patients with heart-related problems.
